Every family has a story worth telling—and your culture, traditions, and heritage deserve to be remembered, celebrated, and passed on.

At Janette Osvay Photography, we’re proud to launch our limited-time Culture & Heritage Photo Series, designed to honour the incredible diversity within our Australian community. This project is more than a photoshoot—it’s a legacy in the making.

Why This Series Matters

Australia is one of the most beautifully multicultural nations in the world. From Greek christening gowns to Indian saris, African beadwork to Hungarian embroidery, we are surrounded by living stories, traditions, and history that connect us across generations.

In today’s fast-paced world, these precious family connections can sometimes fade with time. That’s why capturing them—visually and meaningfully—has never been more important.

This series gives families and individuals a chance to honour their ancestry, showcase traditional clothing or heirlooms, and create a tangible keepsake to pass down for generations.

What’s Included in the Photo Series?

We are inviting 25 couples, families, or individuals from all cultural backgrounds to be featured in this very special portrait project.

Each participant will receive:

  • A professional portrait session at HALF the regular price

  • A complimentary 8x10” mounted fine art print + digital file

  • A short Behind the Scenes Story Video of your session, as a special memory, is also included as a gift

  • The opportunity to include cultural attire, traditional accessories, or family heirlooms

  • A chance to share your story and be featured in our studio's cultural legacy showcase

Whether you're celebrating your pregnancy, welcoming a newborn baby, or capturing your extended family in one frame, this is your opportunity to create more than just photos. You’re creating art that tells your story.

What Makes This Series Different?

As a studio with 15+ years of experience in maternity, newborn, and family photography, we know how to create more than just pretty pictures. We aim to tell your story through every detail—the soft fold of a sari, the gleam of a family necklace, the connection between a mother and child across cultures.

This series is also part of a broader effort to preserve cultural heritage through fine art portraiture, empowering families to proudly display their traditions at home and share their stories with future generations.
